What is civil and CTM engineering

Construction engineering is one of the vast part of the civil engineering.so mainly it deals with the designing , planning,
construction and management base such as roads ,bridges , dams and totally contains all the majority of the civil engineering works.
Along with the construction engineering there is another term associated called as construction technology.now a days there is a seperate branch which deals only with the practical aspects called as construction technology management (CTM).this word may be new for many people but has very good scope . Education for construction managers is primarily focused on construction procedures, methods, costs, schedules, and personnel management.
There is a large difference between construction technology and construction technology management . Here the construction managers focus only on completion of the project ,within the budget and with the same quality as promised to the costomers.

Difference between CIVIL and CTM

  • The main difference between construction technologist and civil engineer is civil students are trained with the construction and design aspects but construction managers are thought all about construction management along with basic design courses .
  • A civil engineer design , develop and construct . But a construction technologist deals with the on-site management of infrastructures like bridges, highways etc .

Colour of Cement . Cement has become the basic and important part in the Feild of construction. Earlier Egyptians used calcined gypsum as cement and greeks and Roman used lime made by heating limestone and added mortar with coarsar stones for concrete. New super wood found to replace steel in the field of construction

Super wood . We all know how steels are used in construction mainly because of their durability, strength and resistance. In this the most common steels used are carbon steel, aluminium, copper tubing and Stainless steel and even titanium  . But now engineers have found something which we would call as the  super wood.  Yes, thats right in early days we used woods for conconstruction.  Mainly  in America . But now because wood lack in strength we use steel . But the're is no need of that as we have super wood .
